Job DescriptionPosition Responsibilities:The SDG Software Engineering Intern will report to the PLC Assistant Lead - Aiken. The intern is responsible for the completion of tasks assigned to him by the Assistant Lead (or by other management as assigned by the Assistant Lead), and will include:Implementing a defined software development lifecycle including Functional and/or Design Requirements document production, PLC/SCADA code development, and test development for the MOX Nuclear Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF).Understanding of industrial automation software programming including ladder logic, Function blocks, Siemens PLCs and programming tools (STEP 7 and Graphcet).Ability to understand and implement the SDG defined software development lifecycle.Ability to read electrical packages, kinematics and other upstream input documents.Required Qualifications:Education: Currently enrolled in Bachelor of Science or Masters degree program in a related Computer or Eng field.Experience: NoneOther: Ability to speak, read and write EnglishDesired Qualifications:Understanding of kinematics and electrical design specs.Must be organized and have the ability to interact with key software developers in an efficient and effective manner.Experience with Microsoft Windows XP Operating System, Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Word.Ability to apply required specification to work.Justification for New Hire:The SDG Software Engineering intern will fill a valuable need in SDG while providing an outstanding opportunity to college-level talent. This benefits SDG/DCS in two ways, 1) by exposing and training talented people, we can help build the knowledge and resource base of personnel required for immediate and future needs of SDG and MFFF, 2) because of the lower cost to employ an intern, it can be economically feasible as well. Software Engineering Intern - US - SDG31
Position Responsibilities:
