Route Manager / Management Trainee

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise the activities of drivers to ensure that quality of service and job performance is maintained.

Investigate accidents/injuries. Complete reports; determine cause, preventability and action required to prevent future occurrences.

Hold regular communication meetings with drivers to improve safety performance.

Take active role in all monthly safety meetings and training classes for employees.

Perform required safety and landfill observations.

Inspect assigned equipment weekly to ensure compliance with the law and safety.

Review productivity reports for accuracy. Analyze reports for productivity improvement opportunities and take actions required to ensure improvements.

Ensure routes are sequenced for maximum productivity and quality service.

Review time cards daily to ensure compliance with California Law and company Standards.

Resolve all customer complaints; take action to prevent future occurrences.

Close all service and customer notes daily.

Develop and manage budget and productivity goals.

Must be highly motivated, self-starter, team player, willing to work hours required to maintain service and productivity standards.

Dedicated to maintain the highest service standards and meet the site’s Service Machine Gold Standards.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Ability to obtain Class “B” Drivers license.

Ability to write reports and perform mathematical calculations.

At least 3 years of leadership experience, managing others or four year college degree in business related field.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated proficiency utilizing computers, including knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word desired.

Able to type proficiently @ least 20 WPM
