Elder Care of Wisconsin, located in Madison, Wisconsin, is looking to hire a Programmer Analyst Intern. This is a paid intern position: $12/hr with complete flexibility of hours during M-F 7:30-5:00 (20 hrs/wk).

Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Systems and Programming Manager, the Programmer Analyst Intern position is responsible for participation in all aspects of the project management methodology lifecycle for Elder Care, with the primary focus of supporting the operational processes and documentation. This position will also be responsible for creating and changing reports

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

50% Operations Support:
Assist in the development and support of key IS operational processes that support Elder Care systems.
Participate in the creation and ongoing maintenance of documentation that supports IS operational processes.
30% Development:
Assist with all aspects of development in the project methodology life cycle on small size projects in the team environment.
Assist in development of documentation that will support information management activities.
Assist in developing and testing reports in conjunction with other senior staff.
20% Administrative/Other:
Participate in internal work groups, meetings and committees relative to position responsibilitiesParticipate in IS staff meetings and other meetings as necessary
Participate in forwarding the mission and goals of Elder Care of Dane County
Seek feedback on performance and actively participate in self and peer performance appraisal
Demonstrate respect for participants and staff. Maintain a cooperative and supportive work relationship with participants, family and Elder Care staff
Maintain participant and staff confidentiality at all times
Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Position Qualifications:
Minimum of High School Diploma required.
Entry level position with some software development exposure from internships or job experience preferred.
Effective oral and written communication skills required.
Effective problem-resolution skills required.
Ability, interest and commitment to providing excellent customer service both to participants and internal/external customers required.
Ability to function effectively in a team environment required.
Ability to effectively develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of staff, both internal and external required.
Valid, State of Wisconsin driver’s license in good standing (or the ability to obtain) and reliable transportation preferred.
