Duties:
The Mental Health Counselor works in our Community Residence program providing various support services for clients with mental illness. Trains and assists residents in the activities of daily living, including household maintenance. May provide on-site visits to scattered apartment sites.

Writes progress notes on a regular basis. Oversees medication maintenance and assists residents in the development of self-medication skills as needed. Provides case management and follow-up services. Provides transportation for clients as needed.

Work Schedule: Weekend OR Evening shifts!

Weekends-Every other weekend

Friday 3pm - 8pm, Saturday 12pm - 7pm, Sunday 12pm - Monday 8am
OR
Friday 3pm - Sunday 7pm

Weeknights-

Monday 5pm - Tuesday 8am, Wednesday 5pm - Thursday 8am
OR
Tuesday 5pm - Wednesday 8am, Thursday 5pm - Friday 8:30 am

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.

Applicants are required to have a valid driver’s license, access to a car, and a safe driving record. The employee uses his or her own vehicle for transportation between sites and is reimbursed for mileage.

Fluent knowledge of American Sign Language a plus!
