Marketing Intern

The Thomson Learning Career and Professional Group (CPG)
has an immediate opening for a Marketing Intern based in our Clifton Park
office.The individual works in conjunction with the Marketing team members of the
Technology and Trades Business Unit. He/she is responsible for the
development and implementation of Marketing projects, customer database
updates to campaign creation through results’ metrics preparation.1.Develop relationship with relevant internal team members to be
able to efficiently gather information needed for Marketing campaigns and
projects.2.Update and maintain customer database and upload database to eMail
system monthly.3.Perform metrics and analyze results on marketing campaigns using various
systems such as (Analyze and report on Informz, Omniture, Adinterax,
etc.).4.Help with National Sales Meeting preparation, User Convention and sales
tools.5.Fulfill requests from clients as needed (sending out banners and other
supplies).6.Order supplies from various vendors.7.Take on other duties as necessary to ensure achievement of team goals.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Current undergraduate student in one of the following
fields: business, marketing, design, or related discipline; Post-secondary
education, (e.g. will graduate with bachelors of arts or science) in
marketing or business administration desired.2.Proficiency in Microsoft Word®, PowerPoint®, Excel® and Outlook®.3.Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot independently.4.Competence in writing marketing copy.5.Strong organizational skills required.6.Outstanding communications skills (both written and verbal) required.
