Manufacturing Technologist

Mitegen is a small technology start up. We now manufacture and distribute products for structural genomics and small molecule x-ray crystallography. Our products are sold to academic and government laboratories and pharmaceutical companies in more than 30 countries. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help our company grow.Job Description:
Core job functions include preparing product components, assembling products under a MICROSCOPE, product inspection, packaging and shipping.
Proficiency in English, especially written, is not essential for the core job functions.Additional job functions for suitably qualified individuals could include writing process documentation, product development and testing, web site maintenance, and development of promotional materials. Also responding to customer inquires.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential skills include EXCELLENT attention to detail, excellent fine motor skills for assembly of SUB-MILLIMETER size components under a microscope, common sense, and the ability to multi-task.
Desirable skills include familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel; Web searching, Quickbooks and FedEx Ship Manager, but these are not necessary.Employees must be highly self-motivated and organized. They should have a strong desire to develop new skills and grow professionally. Individuals must be able to work closely and openly with others in the office area. As a small company, we need employees who are flexible and are able to perform a range of tasks. At the same time, we provide an excellent environment for those employees who wish to work hard to develop their skill sets.
