Manager of Training and Compliance

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking dependable, motivated individuals to fill available positions at the John Wayne International Airport.

Ramp agent job functions include, but are not limited to:
Loading and unloading airline passengers' luggage to and from the aircraft.
Loading and unloading cargo to and from the aircraft.
Pushing the aircraft back from the gate.
Marshalling the aircraft to the gate and securing the aircraft.
Connecting and disconnecting ground power supply units to the aircraft.
Driving equipment around the aircraft.
Cleaning the inside of the aircraft.

Ramp agents must be able to perform the following functions in variable weather conditions as well as environmental conditions, i.e. engine fumes, vehicle emissions, and dust and jet engine noise.

Report to work on a regular and timely basis.

Load and unload freight (maximum lifting requirement 75 lbs.) unassisted within confined areas. Push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 10,000 lbs. on rollers in staging area. Individual pieces of cargo can weigh up to 600 lbs.

Be able to move freely around in cargo hold.

Must be able to operate standard transmission vehicles.

Transport cargo to and from aircraft or other designated locations by driving 3,000 lb. vehicle while towing numerous baggage carts, dollies, or combination of both. Requires depth perception to negotiate vehicle with attached carts through congested areas.

Pull, push, and lift cargo onto or from a conveyor belt.

Reach, bend and twist in confined space while observing all safety precautions.

Use cognitive skills to check condition, clean, sort, count, salvage, and/or store equipment.

REQUIREMENTS
Read and speak English fluently.
Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
Pass criminal history background check and obtain security clearance from the local airport authority.
