Manager, College Relations
Reporting to the Director, College Relations this position provides guidance on strategic recruitment initiatives and client management across multiple lines of business. Provides professional consultation and support to national universities and internal lines of business in areas including, but not limited to: sourcing and selection, client relations, people and team development and reporting metrics.
Essential Functions
Sourcing and Selection
The Manager of College Relations will be responsible for utilizing Taleo, an applicant tracking database as a sourcing tool, coordinating interview days, evaluating and interviewing candidates for all levels of positions including both intern and front line manager opportunities, coordinating processes with our external Advertising agency, educating clients around the goals and objectives of the College Relations team and facilitating the hiring process for college students. This position will be managing a high volume of job openings for multiple clients and consulting with them on selection criteria and hiring decisions.
Client Relations
The Manager of College Relations will need to participate in LOB site visits, regional meetings, and presentations in order to build strong customer relationships. This position will serve as the liaison to the X-LOB College Relations team by hosting and facilitating monthly/quarterly conference calls and encouraging them to share best practices.
Regional Team Development
The Manager of College Relations will be responsible for facilitating Sales and Market Brand across all lines on business, participating in internal STAR Team events, developing and measuring the recruitment strategy of the College Relations team and assisting with internal college placements.
Reporting Responsibilities
The Manager of College Relations will be responsible for calculating staffing metrics, preparing job postings, tracking candidates, updating Taleo, an applicant tracking database and preparing and disseminating monthly staffing reports.
Job Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hotel Administration or equivalent coupled with a minimum of 3 years of work experience. General management, Staffing or Human Resources work experience in a hospitality environment is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written/oral communication, marketing and customer service skills are essential.
Strong networking skills with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates is desired. Previous people management experience and strong organizational abilities are also preferred. Qualified candidates must be proficient in the Microsoft Applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), database management and with navigating the Internet. Strong internal candidate preferred. Position located at Philadelphia Headquarters.
