Insurance Underwriting Trainee - Management Liability

Chubb's Chicago Branch is currently recruiting for three Chubb Specialty Insurance (CSI) Executive Protection (EP) underwriting trainees. We plan to hire one additional class of EP underwriting trainees before year end 2006.

Position Description:
Chubb underwriters work alongside agents and brokers to understand and respond to the needs of the insurance buyer. Our entry-level training program begins with an overview of the organization and the basic tenets of the property and casualty industry and takes you through a formal training program (length varies by department) comprised of classroom and on-the-job training.

Chubb's Executive Protection department provides insurance solutions to commercial customers from a wide variety of industries. The coverages include director's and officier's liability, employment practices liability, crime, fidiciary, kidnap and ransom, errors and omissions and other coverages.

A successful underwriter blends analytical and marketing skills into an effective business style. Responsibilities include: applying analytical skills to the risk assessment process; developing solutions for global clients; communicating with agents and brokers and convincing them to promote Chubb's products and services; selling the Chubb difference in the marketplace; detecting emerging social and economic trends that have an impact on our customers or present new market opportunities.

Education Required:
A four year degree in business or liberal arts is required.
