REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities and qualifications include:

Reports to Manager/Customer Service. The Information Technology (IT) Specialist program is a one to two year training and education curriculum for new employees within the Gannett IT Department. IT Specialists are based in the Newspaper Field Systems Services Customer Service Group and will learn how Gannett IT develops, tests, installs, maintains and supports product and service offerings mainly in two ways: by providing information technology customer support to locations regarding questions, problems and/or project assistance and by completing training modules. Works with other areas of Corporate IT to stay current on the development of new products/services.

Minimum 3.0 GPA and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Management or an equivalent four-year degree. Must have ability to understand technology and incorporate it into the business environment. Prior work internship experience desired.
Must have working knowledge of Windows-based software and possess strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills. Candidate must be able to travel, react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
