Help Desk Intern
Job Category: Information TechnologyPosition Description: Must be enrolled in a college or university to applyProvide IT Help Desk services by intelligently and respectfully answering phone queries regarding communications and office systems questions/concerns. Perform initial problem determination over the phone and through use of remote control software. Work with end users in an effort to solve the problem in a timely manner. Provide and be aware of the proper escalation procedures in dispatching requests for service to IT technicians, analysts, management and outside vendors. Operate a computerized trouble ticket system, which provides for login, dispatching, monitoring and resolution of all problems reported to the Help Desk.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of communications and office system technologies needed. This includes standard PC hardware and software products used by RD, e.g. Win 95/2000 O/S, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite, Citrix, Host Explorer, etc. Knowledge of Network Protocols, Dialup Connectivity, and Administration tools for Novell and NT.
