General Manager In Training

To work with Training General Manager to learn to manage, plan and control business operations resulting in profitability for a bowling center while upholding all BRC policies and procedures. In absence of the General Manager the GMIT is responsible for the total operations of the center.

Administrative/Financial:
Assist the General Manager in the budgeting and forecasting of the business.
Review and analyze financial papers.
Follow the guidelines of Control Assessment and Cash Handling procedures.
Sales and Marketing (League, Casual-Play, Special Events Development):
Assist the General Manager in preparing sales and marketing strategies to include:
Implementation of national marketing programs
Developing and/or enhancing community relationships and prospecting for outside sales
Coordination of lane-to-lane efforts for inside center sales campaigns.
Operational Duties:
Working late nights and weekends to observe/maintain optimum lane turnover process, staff productivity and enhanced customer service and awareness.
Working with members of the staff to become fully functional in key center positions to include: Counter Control operations, Food and Beverage (snackbar and bar) and Mechanical Operations.
Develop thorough working knowledge of the sport of bowling including league format and rules.
Human Resources:
Proactively hire and develop people to include: Interviewing, place people in the right position, using training tools to properly develop team members, conduct necessary performance guidance, conduct required yearly employee appraisals and effectively communicate center progress with all employees.
Customer Service:
Provides a fun, safe, clean environment for customers and employees.
Talk to the customers in order to appropriately assess on-going needs.
Working with employees of all levels to develop action plans in response to the Customer Service Index and Secret Shopper report results.
REQUIREMENTS
2 years of Management Experience required with P&L responsibility
Must have General Business knowledge
Experience in Employee Relations a must
Enjoy dealing with customers
Sales experience preferred but not necessary although must enjoy the concept of sales
Comfort level with computers, specifically MS Word and Excel
Ability to work heavy nights, weekends and some holidays
Must be able to relocate after completion of training program (6-12 months)
Above all be able to have fun in any working enviroment.
