For this Florence SC position, we seek a customer-focused highly skilled field service professional to be responsible for providing resident continuing services for a Pulp and Paper customer supporting three MXOpen System with Unitecs.

 

Principal Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform Preventative, Corrective and Emergency maintenance on customer's QCS equipment
Independently troubleshoot and solve system and process related problems
Analyzes faults and product performance. Defines the proper actions for problem resolution and performance improvement
Maintain all required site and system documentation
Evaluate and tune MD and CD loops as well as write detailed analysis reports
Actively interface with customers at all levels. Ensure customer satisfaction and demonstrate customer value.
Shared service responsibility for assigned resident account
Provide support for other accounts and technicians as required
Document results in writing to the customer(s)Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

 

Associates Degree or equivalent in a technically related discipline

5 years of related experience

Available to support 7 X 24 emergency support to customer and technicians

Thorough knowledge of Pulp & Paper process

 

Additional Qualifications:
Capable in Pulp & Paper environments and familiarity with a Honeywell QCS system or an equivalent competitors system.
Knowledge of any QCS system including ABB and Metso is a plus.
Capable of using available analysis tools to solve complex system or process problems
Capable of developing new PMS for existing and new products
Capable of evaluating control effectiveness and using advanced tuning and optimization tools
Thorought working knowledge of tuning MD and CD controls
Able to Design/Engineer solutions to prevent recurring problems
Capable of writing, reviewing, and / or editing various types of technical reports
Able to conduct formal meetings with customer management personal
Proven skills in problem solving
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Projects a positive and confident attitude focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations

Company Overview

Honeywell can trace its roots back to 1885, when an inventor named Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, on April 23, 1886, and a few weeks later invented a simple, yet ingenious device that he called the "damper flapper."


Here's how it worked. When a room cooled below a predetermined temperature, a thermostat closed the circuit and energized an armature. This pulled the stop from the motor gears, allowing a crank attached to the main motor shaft to turn one-half revolution. A chain connected to the crank opened the furnace's air damper to let in air. This made the fire burn hotter. When the temperature rose to the preset level, the thermostat signaled the motor to turn another half revolution, closing the damper and damping the fire. The temperature correction was automatic. Over the years, many Honeywell products have been based upon similar, but more complicated closed-loop systems.
