Field Operation Technician

Purpose: Responsibilities: Utility Field Techs will work on a data collection project for the local utility. Techs will work primarily in the field, walking the power lines and collecting data on the utility poles. The information gathered can be anything from the height of the lines, transformer or pole itself to monitoring the connection to the transformer. Information will be used to create an analysis of the existing poles and lines for their client (the utility).

Qualifications:
-Must have own vehicle
-Be willing to work outdoors 12 months out of the year
-Must be able to work independently
-Must be willing to travel
-Strong communication/analytical skills

Ideal candidates are geography, environmental studies, geology, and GIS majors that enjoy doing field work and are looking for an opportunity to get involved with a fast growing company.
