Classroom/Hab Aide - 35 hours a week

Classroom/Hab Aide staff provide care of participants 18 years and older during the day in a classroom setting and participants of all ages in the afternoon/evening in the community. Treatment may include community and facility based activities. Activities may include arts and crafts, exercising, gardening, computers, senior aerobics, cooking and community outings. Visits to concerts, theaters, shopping, sporting and cultural events are just some of the activities offered.

We support individuals through activities of daily living to enable them to fully access and participate in the community.

In Day Treatment we seek a holistic approach in providing services to individuals with disabilities 18 years and older. All Services are offered in response to need and there is a strong emphasis on using community as a natural learning environment.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma,Associate’s Degree, licensed COTA or licensed LPN or Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology; plus 1 year of professional experience working with the developmentally disabled preferred but not required. Must have a working vehicle and willingness to drive personal vehicle. Must have no lifting restrictions.

There are currently two (2) full-time, 35 hour per week positions available. These positions will work in the classroom in the morning, and then work as a hab aide in the afternoon. There is the possibility of working 3 or 3 ½ days per week, with the rest of the week off. These positions come with a full benefits package. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
