Account Representative - Entry Level Opportunity for current Col

Account Representative: Temporary assignment - during the 2006-2007 school year for a current college student pursuing a marketing degree. 25-30 hours per week.


Kelly Account Representatives are responsible for seeking out and developing profitable business relationships. It's more than selling. They first understand all the products, services and capabilities Kelly offers, then work with customers to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship. Our Account Representatives cold call, generate leads, assess customer needs, and work with branch staff and managers to ensure a solid delivery of what is promised.

What are the job responsibilities of an Account Representative?


- Identify new prospects and new business opportunities.


- Canvassing – Cold Calling – Territory Development


- Develop a thorough knowledge of Kelly's full range of offerings and capabilities to ensure appropriate selection of Kelly solutions.


- Thoroughly analyze customer needs/business issues, and work with branch and regional managers on presentations.+


What qualities make a successful Account Representative?


- Ability to develop business, build relationships and communicate effectively. Developing a quick rapport; upbeat – positive and outgoing personality


- Self-motivation, a winning attitude and an ability to work with little supervision.


- Ability to collaborate with other Kelly staff to ensure both Kelly's and the customer's business goals are met or exceeded.


- A current student working towards a bachelor's degree in marketing preferred, plus sales experience - preferably in a service-related industry.
