AS400 COBOL PROGRAMMER ANALYST & ENTRY LEVEL PROGRAMMERS

And we're seeking entry level Programmers and a Programmer Analyst (with COBOL and SQl experience in an AS400 environment) for our Des Moines Information Technology team! Below are just some of the duties of a Programmer and a Programmer Analyst*:

In general a either produces, analyzes and maintains quality software products and/or statistical programming support in a timely fashion:
Analyzes user programming and analysis requests.
Creates/maintains detailed programs and subsystem specifications and test plans.
Produces appropriate research and analysis.
Designs, develops and tests medium to complex programs.
Provides assistance to other members of the department/staff.
Interacts in cooperative/professional manner; continually learns, studies and applies new information.
Performs other work as needed or requested.*
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related), OR equivalent programmer analyst job related work experience.
2 years or more of successful, progressively complex programming experience utilizing COBOL and SQL on an AS400 platform strongly preferred for the Programmer Analyst.
0-2 years experience for the AS400 COBOL Programmer; successful completion of 1-2 COBOL classes required.
Above average verbal, written and presentation skills.
Critical thinking, problem solving, organization and analytical skills.
Capable of working on-call and/or extended hours if needed.
Stable work history.*
