eBusiness Infrastructure Middleware Engineer
Provides support for all areas of the technical support function including communications software, test tools, performance, capacity planning, and eCommerce technology as required. Works as team member to develop, design and implement technical support systems or to complete specialty functions. Coordinates and completes projects according to plan.
Primary Accountabilities:
Assist in the development, design and implementation of technical support systems. Serve as member of a project team or as an individual contributor as needed.
Assist application development with design configuration, implementation and problem resolution. Serve as member of a project team or as an individual contributor as needed.
Perform systems programming tasks such as: developing specifications for operating system or network systems; and back-up and recovery procedures for computer programs. Recommend alternatives for various configurations of equipment and software to optimize cost benefit ratio for the corporation; evaluating performance of computer and network hardware and software; and developing standards, guidelines, and procedures for appropriate use by operations and network support. Interface with other staff on implementation of new programs, systems, and communications solutions.
Serve as project manager when assigned. Prepare project plans, track progress with participating teams, and manage projects to assure objectives are met on time and within cost. Evaluate performance of project team and report performance upon project completion to management.
Provide 24x7 operations support to ensure applications and infrastructure are available as per Service Level Agreements. Work with Incident Management and other support teams to address tickets on time.
Assist in training and orientation of other staff and/or users.
Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events.

job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent experience.
Major or minor in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in technical administration and support functions acquired through a combination of technical support and applications development activities.
Experience in eTrust Siteminder 5x, Sun One Directory Server 5x, Verisign PKI required
Basic knowedge of Web Servers, Operating System UNIX/Linux, RSA ACE, Cisco Secure ACS 3x, network protocols, shell script
