Wind Research Engineer

Civil or structural engineer with emphasis on the behavior of structures due to wind loading for various natural perils, including hurricanes, tornadoes, and general severe wind storms. Must have strong knowledge of wind codes for various regions of the United States; knowledge of international building codes beneficial as well. Must have strong quantitative skills along with some experience in scientific programming - numerical methods, a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.Description of duties & responsibilities:
Support senior engineering and scientific staff with research and development activities in wind engineering.
