Wildlife Biologist
Engineering and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (EEC) is seeking a special candidate to fill the position of Wildlife Biologist. The preferred candidate should have experience or training to survey for Mexican spotted owls, cactus ferruginous pygmy owls, S.W. willow flycatchers, yellow-billed cuckoos, and other protected species. Should be proficient with computers and data base searches, have a current driver's license, drive 4-WD, be able to hike over rough terrain at night, carry a backpack with personal and survey equipment, and occasionally camp in remote areas. GIS mapping/ArcView experience a plus. Experience identifying southwestern plant species is very desirable. Must write Biological Evaluations, Biological Reviews, and contribute to NEPA documents. Must perform Jurisdictional Delineations and prepare 404 Nationwide Permit applications. Must attend and present at public meetings and prepare maps and charts.
Excellent opportunity for an individual with a B.S. or M.S. in Wildlife Biology or a related field. Candidate must be able to navigate using compass, maps, and GPS. A minimum of 1 year experience working with endangered species policy and natural resource management is preferred.

Other Requirements: Must posses a valid AZ driver's license. Capable of site visits and field operations, lift 25 lbs, and pass a drug screen.
