Wetland Scientist/Ecologist

CH2M HILL's Parsippany, NJ office is in need of a Wetland Scientist/Ecologist to join its Environmental Team. As an integral member of our team, you will be able to utilize your science/ecology knowledge and experience as it relates to projects involving wetland delineations, habitat assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys, restoration ecology, vegetation mapping and related field activities, assist in the preparation of State/Federal Environmental Permit Applications, EAs, EISs and the preparation of other Environmental Reports. In this role, you will be expected to support private and federal clients (utility fieldwork/permitting projects, industrial/site development projects, and potentially support Air Force, Navy and other government efforts, as needed). Duties may also include performing wetland-related fieldwork and permitting in support of other business groups and market segments.

job Requirements


Preferred candidates will have 5 to 8 years of experience with a BS and MS degree in related science field. Candidates familiar with Army Corps and State (PA and others) permitting processes preferred. Candidates must also have a background/knowledge of NEPA documentation, strong report writing skills and hold professional certifications (e.g., Society of Wetland Scientists, Wildlife Biologist, Planner, etc). The chosen candidate should be willing to coach members of our junior team as well as accept coaching from others. Initiative to grow our team members is highly desirable as well as having solid communication skills.
