OEM Video Software Engineer

Job Description

Sonic Solutions is looking for an energetic individual to work on our video editing and authoring software, including our video capture technology. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy tackling multiple, often very difficult, challenges. Must be able to work with OEM partners as well as internal customers.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and enhance video editing and other related software
•Develop and maintain the video capture component
•Add support for new capture devices as they come available
•Work with OEM customers and capture device vendors to resolve issues
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements
•5+ years in software development
•Solid software development skills
•Deep knowledge of C++
•Knowledge of STL and COM is strongly desired
•Knowledge of video encoding / decoding (specifically MPEG-2) and DirectShow is preferred
•Good debugging skills
•Knowledge of optical media burning a plus
•B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline experience preferred.
•Proven track record of delivering quality software in a time-critical environment
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
