Variable Cost Productivity Engineer

Business Unit: GE Industrial, Advanced MaterialsFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: The Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) Engineer is responsible for plant-wide productivity programs and driving cost out inititatives in the business.Essential Functions:
Overall Project Management and ownership. The VCP Engineer is responsible for all aspects of major projects and controls the project time line, investment requirements and on-time delivery of benefits.
Driving quarterly cost out Growth and utilizing strategic vision in order to assess cost reduction opportunities and capacity growth needs.
Responsible for driving direct savings in the business.
Works closely with the operators, maintenance personnel, team leaders, schedulers, quality, technology, commercial and other engineers to identify and generate productivity ideas.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * BA or BS degree in an engineering discipline.
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
Cross functional project team leading experience.
Minimum 2 years experience in a Manufacturing or production environment.Eligibility Requirements:

Production Engineering experience in a Chemical Operation.
