Validation Engineer

Business Unit: GE HealthcareFunction: Engineering/ Product DevelopmentResponsibilities: The successful candidate will join the Invasive Cardiology group of Interventional Cardiology and Surgery for GE Medical Systems. Our product is a real-time data acquisition system used in hospital Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology labs.The position involves development and testing of computerized data acquisition systems (software and hardware) for Cardiology in both standalone and networked environments. The test engineer analyzes functional and requirement specification documentation for early defect detection; collaborate on validation plans, as well as detailed, narrative test cases; and executes test plans at the integration, system, performance, acceptance, and regression testing levels.The Candidate should be able to thoroughly understand application functionality with a focus on customer needs, software interface design, and usability.~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years experience OR 10 years of related experience
Previous testing of software or hardware systems experience
Strong problem solving skills
Effective analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
Detail and results-orientedDesired: *Master's degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering
Knowledge or experience in programming (automated testing s/w , preferably Mercury Interactive WinRunner)
Broad knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology or clinical experience
