Unix systems Admin

Fortune 500 company in Chicago's Northern suburbs is looking for 2 Sun systems administrators and 2 Sun systems engineers. They need experienced UNIX administrators to join a large global UNIX admin team supporting over a growing environment(300+ servers). Primary UNIX OS is Solaris, but some Linux (SuSe and Redhat), AIX and HP also exists. The admin will provide a wide variety of Unix systems administration services. Responsibilities include basic and complex administrative tasks, resource and capacity admin, product admin and support, leading medium-sized initiatives, shell scripting, Apache Web server admin, Vertas Cluster and file system management, maintenance of monitoring and logging systems, and particpation in projects sponsored with and by other organizational units (Print, Security, DR, Capacity planning, Network, san/nas, database and other business groups. Creating and updating documentation relating to many aspect of Unix systems admin work, as well as performing complex configuration and performance analysis tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of system administration experience. People management experience is a plus. Self starter, strong analytical skills, the ability to multi task and prioritize. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
