Job Description:
This position is an immediate need with one of our direct Pharmaceutical clients.

We are looking for experienced Unix Systems Engineers to fulfill several w-2 contract positions with our direct client. Candidates should have at least 5 years of related experience.

• FDA Validation

Required Experience / Responsibilities:

• Rebuilding the production and development enterprise computing environment utilizing HP (10x-11x) and EMC servers and storage, Oracle databases (7x-8x) and tools such as Veritas NetBackup, Tivoli Maestro, OmniBack and ECC suite.

• Configuring servers for different business and infrastructure units.

• Working with vendor engineers to validate integrity of systems and service level agreements.

• Performing Disaster Recovery tests and verifying from client side.

• Working with FiberChannel switches, performing configuration, defining and resolving all cable, switch and port issues within Data Center.

• Managing projects, strong communication skills and ability to deal with business, technical (data center and DNA groups) and senior level mgt.

• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of servers that will support e-Business efforts.

• Will also be responsible for interfacing with our clients and performing FDA validation work on our regulated servers.

• The successful candidate should have an understanding of Oracle (8i is a plus) to allow he or she to understand system requirements.

• The candidate may also be required to assist the other system engineers with their projects.

• This is a 24x7 position and requires a pager.

• Develop/detail technical specifications.

• Develop/modify and repair computer programs.

• Test and install applications.

• Familiar with programming practices/systems software.

• Work with existing system.

• Modify to resolve user problems.

• Help develop user documentation.

• Participate in phases of system analysis.

• Gather/analyze data.

• Develop specifications to resolve problems.

• Provide technical direction.

• Prepare documentation.

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills are essential

REQUIREMENTS
Methodology/Certification/Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science including advanced course work in technical systems + continued education in technical disciplines.
