The benefits of working at Capital include interesting work, exceptional colleagues, a comfortable workplace, competitive salaries and bonuses, and health and life benefits from day one.*This position can be located in either Brea, California or San Antonio, Texas.The mid-level Unix System Engineer/Programmer will diagnose and analyze system related issues and recommend appropriate solutions based on knowledge of the appropriate systems and system software. This role also provides application support and communicates periodically with users on systems status, including system changes, problems, enhancements and potential impacts.Qualifications

Experienced in UNIX systems administration, either Solaris or HP-UX.

Experienced performing 1st, 2nd & 3rd level 24x7 production support.

Capable of developing and implementing small to medium sized technology projects, including new technology evaluations.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both internal associates and external customers.

Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Knowledge of the financial industry preferred.
