UNIX Systems Engineer

Key Role: Work within the integration and standards group, using extensive engineering skills to implement new projects. Build, install, and configure new servers and system components for new projects. Perform work that is constantly changing and evolving to the current business requirements of the firm. Work with operational teams team to implement corporate standards, including systems build guidelines.



Job Requirements













Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with UNIX systems administration in a commercial business environment required

-2+ years of experience with Sun Solaris OS 7-10

-Experience with Storage array and SAN technologies, including Solstice Disk Suite, Veritas Volume Manager, EMC Symmetrix, EMC CLARiiON, and Brocade FC Switches

-Knowledge of backup technologies and software, including StorageTek and Veritas Netbackup

          

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of firm-standard software technologies, including Sendmail, ISC BIND, ISC INN, iPlanet Web Server, Apache Web Server, and Veritas foundation suite

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree
