Transportation Manager/Structural

The Structural Manager is responsible for the management of structural engineers and drafters, preparation of proposals and cost estimates, marketing and billings, as well as performing structural engineering. The ideal candidate must have experience designing and managing architectural and civil type projects with an ability to provide structural support to Civil, Water Resources, and Transportation departments.


Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in structural engineering with 10+ years experience in structural engineering. Licensed structural engineer in the state of California. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with engineers in all disciplines, general contractors, and clients.Strong background and experience level in the use of building materials, wood, steel, masonry and concrete. Knowledge of Caltrans and AASHTO Design Specifications, California bridge design software suite; bridge seismic practice; and seismic retrofit analysis and design. Construction and field experience, and familiarity with long-span bridge design, highway design concepts, and specification writing. Must have managed projects under a wide variety of jurisdictions including city, county, state and military agencies. Business Development experience highly desirable.
