Transmission Operator

NRG/Louisiana Generating LLC is a major independent power producer with expertise in the development, construction and operation of cogeneration, thermal energy, transmission and resource facilities. We currently have an immediate opening in New Roads, Louisiana, at our Operations Center:

TRANSMISSION OPERATOR

Maintain system integrity with regard to reliability to customers and safety to all related equipment and personnel. Schedule and coordinate outages of transmission, metering and control facilities with operating and maintenance personnel and with interconnected utilities. Maintain required transmission voltage level by coordinating adjustments through the control area system operators' plant personnel. Five years' experience working in transmission operations; NERC System Operator Certification required.
