This local aerospace company in Kent, WA is seeking a Toolmaker. The candidate must be proficient in Fabrication and rework of tools to close tolerances as a Journey level Tool coordination. Be a Toolmaker. Must be a team player and work independently as well.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be able to Set-up, adjust, and operate common types of machine shop equipment. Ability to work with common machine shop equipment and apply practical knowledge of characteristics of metals and machine capabilities. Ability to weld aluminum and steel. Must have at least 5 years experience in Aerospace related tool fabrication, working with metal and composite tools. Two years technical school or equivalent experience. Must be able to read and interpret specifications, drawings and written documentation. Technical knowledge and proficiency to ensure compliance with quality control requirements. Ability to apply shop math, including trigonometry and descriptive geometry. Precision layout, fabrication and machining. Familiarity with resin, fabrics and plaster tooling techniques a plus. Optics/Laser Tracker experience a plus. Understands inter-tool coordination. Be able to work with minimal supervision. Assist other employees as directed.
