Temporary Operations Technician

Individual will work in several areas in the technical department. Robotic camera operation, Floor Directing and video server operations are possible job assignments. Also the operation of the master control room. This will include switching between programs and commercial breaks as required by the station log and programming of the automation systems. Operations within the tape area will also include recording and playback on Sony SX, HDCAM and DVCAM VTR equipment, 9News also uses an automated HD and SD video server net delay system. When assigned to the video area, this individual will coordinate satellite and ENG microwave feeds and color balance studio cameras. Operation of the TV broadcast audio console and ancillary audio booth equipment will be another area of operation.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum three years previous television engineering operations experience highly preferred. Assignments sometimes require lifting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work hours are irregular and work assignments may be outdoors at remote locations, as well as within the station. Other assignments as required by supervisor.
