Telecom (PBX), LAN WAN Analyst

Under general supervision and with minimal assistance from more experienced and knowledgeable analysts, assists with the formulation/definition of moderately complex project scopes and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to research and resolve moderately complex to complex problems concerning devices, applications and equipment. Assists in the design, testing, debugging and documentation of networks, equipment configurations, and FSG Systems. Independently researches and resolves moderately complex technical problems. May serve as primary system support for one or more moderately complex information systems. Mentors and trains the Field Services staff in the application of the skills necessary to support POS, PC, Communication and other FSG systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Must have a minimum 3 years experience with the Avaya, Siemens/Rolm and Nortel PBX, troubleshooting PBX hardware issues, station troubles, 3+ years of experience with PC builds, Server builds/upgrades, Auto Attendant, and basic MAC skills, Must have solid experience in LAN Management and LAN infrastructures including cabling and connectivity, public and private network problem solving. Strong knowledge of data network connectivity.and RF technology. Strong customer focus. Sense of urgency and flexible to changing circumstances and customer needs. Strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking and time management skills. Strong conceptual abilities. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Must posses a high level of teamwork skills. Strong knowledge of PC's, understanding and use of Windows Operating System, Windows Office products and communication software. Must be able to technically support MS software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong communication and organization skills. Proven experience in Point of Sale technology including back office architecture and strong troubleshooting skills.

Desired Skills Distribution Center experience a plus Strong working knowledge of SMS, NetIQ, HP storage Area Networks (SAN) a plus. Knowledge of telephony cabling, station problem determination / resolution and PBX architecture a plus. Working knowledge of Blackberry and Palm technology a plus. Knowledge of Cisco 6500, 4500, 3500 and 2900 series switches a plus.
