Governed by a statewide board of directors, the California Space Authority (CSA) is a nonprofit corporation representing the commercial, civil, and national defense/homeland security interests of California's diverse space enterprise community in all four domains: industry, government, academia, and workforce.
Technology Specialist needed in Pasadena.
Key Tasks and Responsibilites
Lead, manage and/or provide support to CSA projects and activities related to innovation/entrepreneurship support and industrial rejuvenation initiatives.
Support successful completion of and/or participate in high technology, advanced manufacturing, entrepreneurship, innovation and technology research and development oriented consortia, working groups and advisory groups.
Represent/support CSA as needed for presentations, briefings, reports, studies, etc.
Provide conference, tradeshow, panel and forum support for events/activities requiring a background in innovation and industrial based issues.
Represent CSA to governmental and quasi-governmental agencies, business, industry, scientific and academic organizations and individuals.i
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Attributes
Leadership, organization, people and program/project management skills.
Verbal and written communication skills when dealing with employee, governmental, quasi-governmental, business, scientific, academic organizations and individuals.
Ability to lead and acheive in a less-structured political and entreprenurial environment.
Computer competency including: MS office, web research, email, ACT database, file maintenance, back-up, etc.
Political awareness and sensitivity.
Experience with a very broad range of technologies and advanced manufacturing techiniques. Must have understanding of innovation, technology development and entrepreneurial processes.
Federal program/project management knowledge, experience and acumen.Required Experience
BA/BS, preferably in technology related field. Minimum of ten years of professional experience and success in a high-technology or manufacturing industry or field, or a public sector position dealing with technology or advanced manufacturing industries/issues, e.g. economic development, workforce development, etc. APPLY NOW...
