Technical Trainer Senior

Standard Job Description: Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Typical Minimums: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

Specific Job Description: Designs, develops, and delivers technical instructional programs to train Imagery Analysts in advanced geospatial intelligence processing, products and exploitation techniques. Able to develop curriculums in accordance with stringent customer standards. Produce training manuals and other written documentation. Research databases for selecting appropriate training aids. Interface with users and factory engineering to interpret training requirements. Occasionally travel to off site locations to provide remote training. Methods of instruction include standard lecture, Computer Based Training and Web based training. Keeps abreast of training and development research: Learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and instructional techniques. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
