The Technical Systems Engineer is responsible for installation and implementation of iSeries hardware as well as various other installations. The Technical Support Engineer also provides first level troubleshooting pertaining to performance and system configurations as well as acting as backup for front line support when required.

* Must be experienced in and able to perform installations: Hardware upgrade (server migration, DASD, Memory), New client install, MIMIX (installation, switch, support), OS400 upgrades. PM400 installation and support, optical migrations, scanning installations and support, hardware walk through, wireless, time clocks, PACS, and system configurations.

* Create knowledge base documents for installations
* Troubleshoot potential performance issues as first tier support - PM400,
* PMiSeriesIS, 5722PT1
* Configure, install, and support PM400 clients
* Evaluate iSeries servers to determine additional workloads clients can handle
* Configure iSeries services and related hardware for clients and account executives
* Take front line shifts for hardware support as required to increase knowledge of HMS environment
REQUIREMENTS
Required:

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE AS400 EXPERIENCE.

* 1 year iSeries experience preferred.
* Three months front line experience required (can be obtained with training).
* Must efficiently manage projects and issues.
* Must possess ability to implement process improvement ideas.
* Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
* Must display the ability to be a team player and work well with employees at all levels both internal and external to the department.
* Must possess strong problem resolution skills.
* Must be willing to learn new tasks, and cross train as needed.
* Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
* Negative pre-employment drug tests.
