Convergys Corporation, the leading provider of outsourced customer care, is seeking Technical Support Engineers in our Ogden location to provide customer support and solutions for our client.

Skill Set Requirements:


*Effectively troubleshoot & resolve customer's network issues

*Confirm customer understanding of the solutions & provide additional education as needed

*Prepare complete & accurate work & update customer file

*Stay current on company hardware, software, & procedures

*Stay current on other networking technologies

*Contribute ideas on ways to resolve problems

*Utilize own judgment to resolve problems or perform research

*Address routine & non-routine customer problems

*Communicate effectively with individuals/teams in the program to ensure high quality & timely expedition of customer requests

*Operate computer to key and/or verify a variety of complex information

*Perform tasks that are generally not clearly defined & are not part of a regular workflow cycle

*Other duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Required:
*Post high school education with a minimum Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
*Experience with web enabling technologies: HTTP, HTTPS, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Active-X & Flash
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (XP,2000, NT, 98, etc.)
*Understanding of authentication schemes (Active Directory, NTLM, NIS)
* Ability to capture and interpret packet traces
*Working knowledge of Linux and Unix
*Experience with Cisco IOS
*BSEE/CS & 2-3 yrs experience with IP network management platforms
*Strong knowledge of the IP protocol & related protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, IPSec)
*Excellence in providing outstanding customer service
*Ability to accurately gather information & document same in a CRM system
* Superior verbal and written communication skills
