Technical Support Engineer - Site Lead

The TSE is a member of the Information & Technology Services (ITS) – Network and Technical Services (NTS) team reporting to the Manager of Network and Technical Services. Generalist supporting the daily support and tactical project needs for our core revenue cycle units and corporate executives. The TSE is accountable for technical and end-user education support and customer service on a daily operational basis in order to assure delivery on the NTS team scope of services as defined in the ITS Policy and Procedure manual. The TSE is responsible for supporting other team members in ensuring delivery of the team scope of services, this includes assisting with followup, sharing of knowledge, cross-training, documentation of technical procedures as appropriate or directed and end-user training on general computing issues. The TSE provides for all Level 2 and provides backup coverage of Level 1 support for all general Information Technology network and application support issues. The TSE provides for Level 1 and Level 2 support during on-call hours on a rotational basis. The TSE performs routine maintenance and patch management activities for all network, data center and general computing environment as directed. The TSE occasionally performs independently small to medium technical projects for network and computing technology for the Manager of Network and Technical Services as directed.
REQUIREMENTS


Over 2+ years of information and technology background including demonstrated ability to understand, work with and develop multi-campus voice and data networks, network data center and common application, computing, storage and print services.

Minimum of 1 year maintaining and assisting in implementation of voice and data infrastructure, network services and workstation and server computing platform applications and hardware in a medium to large networked (over 1000 devices) environment with multiple sites.

High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong equivalent experience considered.

Educational background in networking and systems technology is strongly preferred.
