Under general supervision, provides technical support to front line service with solutions to diverse technical problems and applications relating to Facility Management and control systems. Support is provided mainly via phone analysis and remote interrogation. Some onsite analysis may be required. Provide Technical Support to JCI employees relating to York ConnecxSys, ISN Advantage, HVAC systems and controls. Approximately 5% travel.

Analyze and troubleshoot application, communications, network, and control system problems and formulate plans to resolve.

Utilize lab environment to setup and duplicate field reported problems.

Research and document product problem solutions and application data into a knowledge database.

May assist in technical review of associated literature for accuracy, completeness, and troubleshooting content.

Access customer systems via network technologies for remote troubleshooting of system problems.

Share knowledge with other support engineers in areas of expertise.

Assist in developing commissioning & troubleshooting guides as part of our technical support offering. Include controllers, communication busses, networking.
REQUIREMENTS
An Bachelor's or Associates degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline and 5 years of BAS DDC Controls and networking experience. 2-5 years experience in York BAS and HVAC control system application design, troubleshooting, and repair. Working knowledge and experience with communication protocols including BACnet, Metasys N2, Lon, and use of appropriate diagnostic tools for capturing, decoding, and analyzing network data. Experienced in troubleshooting HVAC systems & control system products. Experience with controller programming and associated tools to configure, load, and commission field devices. Ability to communicate effectively with a strong ability to troubleshoot and solve problems over the telephone. Have the ability to work independently doing their own self learning to close any knowledge gaps that exist. Skilled on data network technologies including MSTP, York ISN, YorkTalk 1,2,3 and TCP/IP addressing switching, routing, wireless, and network topologies implementation. Relocation may not be required. May be able work out of any JCI/York Facility depending on the specific circumstances.
