Technical Specialist - Installation & Maintenance

Successful candidate will be responsible to oversee both large and small CPE based installations for our customer base in the Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia and southern New Jersey. Position Responsibilities: • Create and track projects from creation to closing using MS project software. • Track budgets and expense for individual projects. • Create meeting agendas. • Schedule and host meetings with customers, sales and operations teams. • Take and distribute meeting minutes to all necessary parties. • Order and tracking of material. • Create and distribute as built documents utilizing an array software programs such as Visio, Excel and CAD. • Schedule and tracking of assigned field personnel’s time and activities. • Be responsible to ensure all installations meet or exceed all manufactures/ industry standards. • Be responsible to ensure all local, state and federal codes are followed and adhered to. • Be responsible to ensure that all installation sites follow and maintain best safety practices. • Be the single point of contact between customers, vendors and Verizon personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Experience: • 5+years practical working experience with Nortel, Alcatel and NEC PBX installations and service. • 5+years of experience supervising field personnel’s time and activities. • 5+years of project management background. • Excellent communication skills • Proficient in MS project, MS word, MS excel and Visio. Desired Skills and Experience: • Nortel equipment certifications • NEC equipment certifications • Alcatel equipment certifications • Cisco equipment certifications • Other manufactures PBX equipment certifications • Project management certification Additional Information: • Occasional travel is a required.
