Technical SETA - Geospatial Analysis

The Technology Management Division of Schafer Corporation has a Science, Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) position working directly with a government program manager to develop innovative technologies for automated, geospatial imagery interpretation, analysis and processing. SETA positions work with Government Program Managers to define, analyze and document progress in advanced research programs.



The position responsibilies are diverse, and include program development and communication of same, acquisition planning, management of technology projects, and analysis of results and high-level reporting. This position works as part of a team with the government.



This position will work on tasks that involve understanding goals and milestones of research projects and assisting in the assessment and reporting of technical progress. The ability to analyze products and to conceptualize and support transition of products to defense systems is key.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelors degree and six years related experience required. Knowledge in remote sensing science and engineering, including knowledge of sensors and image processing, information extraction, analysis, classification and interpretation techniques from a multiple remote sensors also required.



This position requires ability to understand and interpret research results and support management of innovative, advanced research and development projects.



Direct experience with geospatial applications and technology transfer, or previous work as or with geospatial image analysts is a significant plus.
