The Global BI Operations team is geographically dispersed and actively contributes to one of HP's top corporate initiatives of developing an Enterprise Data Warehouse. This warehouse will provide instantaneous access to company information anytime, anywhere. The Global operations team is responsible for all operational processes, including 24x7x365 incident management, change management, escalation management and monitoring for the new data warehouse. In addition to this, the team is also responsible for supporting, and ultimately obsolescing the legacy assets that the new warehouse has been designed to replace.

The successful candidate will be held accountable for participating in the development and implementation of the new operational processes (incident, problem, change, configuration and release management) based on ITSM standards, to generate a common operating model for all of the assets under supported by the team. The model also requires that monitoring and measurement capabilities are engineered into each of the processes to ensure the level of service being provided is within agreeable limits, and being provided in the most cost efficient manner. The candidate will also be required to utilize strong problem solving and analytical skills on a day to day basis while assisting in the resolution of complex issues that are reported to the team.
REQUIREMENTS

7 yrs Data Warehousing / BI experience

SQL server 2000 and/or Oracle 9.0 in Windows and Unix platforms

OLAP, ETL, ASP and ASP.NET and other BI tools

Extensive problem resolution skills

Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Bachelors degree in a relevant filed (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics)

Knowledge of ITSM standards and their implementation is a plus

Experience in a high tech consumer market is a plus
