TV Engineer

Demonstrates technical proficiency in several areas of the field. Knows entire technical system configuration. Provides standard levels of support/service. Assigned routine to moderately complex projects. Implements assigned portions of projects independently with regular guidance from senior staff/engineering management. Performing scheduled maintenance and minor/major repairs on audio/video/computer equipment for CN8 studio, remote, ENG, Master Control and Access equipment and editing facilities Daily responsibilities can include critical camera setup and shading plus overall technical supervision of live studio programming. Perform technical set-up of studio, remote and ENG facilities along with maintenance and upgrade planning and execution when necessary. Provide range of high-level technical support and supervision during on location, studio and live productions. Perform repairs if needed on site at remotes. Maintenance and repair at other locations; accompany remote van as engineer-in-charge on remote productions. Drive remote van when necessary Other duties as assigned Bachelor's Degree in engineering or the recognized equivalent in work experience or self study 3-5+ years of progressively complex related experience. Knowledge of technical aspects of video technology, including television equipment set-up and operation, camera balancing, system timing, etc. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems, utilizing appropriate testing tools. Excellent organizational, time management and follow through skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal). Must demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (e.g., MS Office, Word, Excel, knowledge of and experience with non linear editing systems- particularly Final Cut Pro- is preferred). Valid driver's license with good driving record Must either possess or be able to acquire DOT Vehicle driving certification. CT03916
