TOWN ENGINEER/ PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR Town of Sahuarita, Arizona Salary: $75,062 - $88,309 DOQ, plus excellent benefits The Town of Sahuarita has an immediate opening for a Town Engineer/Public Works Director reporting directly to the Town Manager. The Director is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Public Works Department, including engineering, street maintenance, and wastewater. The Public Works Department currently has 23 FTE's and administers an operating budget of approximately $4 million and $13.5M budget for capital improvement expenditures for FY 06-07. Requires bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; current registration in the State of Arizona as a Professional Engineer; five years professional level experience working in a public works or engineering position with a public agency, including three years of supervisory experience; experience in grant-funded capital improvement projects and experience as manager of operations in a municipal setting is highly desirable. Arizona municipal experience preferred. Position is open until filled with the first review of applications on September 22, 2006.
