Classification: Consulting Compensation: $48.00 to $50.00 per hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Hands on planning, implementation and support of Information Systems with broad direction from management and business objectives.2.Responsible for network design, implementation, performance and hardware and software maintenance across multiple worldwide locations.3.Monitors and manages the capacity planning and quality of service of the global network, to include addresses assignment, routing protocol assignment and routing table configuration.4.Oversees support of Internet/WAN devices (Cisco routers and PIX firewalls) and infrastructure systems (HP ProCurve 9300 Series Routing Switches and Cisco Catalyst switches).5.Provides systems support for the Wide Area Network and VPN connectivity and to the user base with minimal supervision.
6.Manage projects and schedules to ensure functional requirements are met and communicate project status to appropriate parties on a regular basis.7.Works closely with service providers to ensure reliability and availability of all site links, including those running MPLS, MLPPP, BGP and EIGRP.8.Establishes and cultivates strong relationships with external vendors and all levels throughout Powerwave.9.Performs the planning, deployment, and maintenance of wireless networks supporting a unified access standard.10. Plan for, maintain and administrate Windows servers.11.PRovide daily, weekly, monthly and yearly uptime and outage reporting analysis and sending scheduled and un-scheduled alerts and notifications as appropriate.Remote Access Server support (Dial-up and VPN) dependent upon the maintenance of the authorization infrastructure, cooperative enforcement environment and certificates and tokens.13. Ensure secure operation of all Company systems by administering security controls and access privileges for users and groups.14. Creation and maintenance of high availability and redundancy systems and configurations to include regular monitoring and testing.15. Coordination and implementation of hardware and software installations and upgrades to server applications.16. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new systems and services to benefit the Company.17. Maintain and support the authorization infrastructure and enterprise backup procedures and processes.18. Support of Exchange 5.5/2000/2003 multi-server, multi domain network.19. Handles the setup, support, and maintenance of intrusion detection and intrusion prevention systems.20. Support of Lucent PBX equipment.21. Contributes to development and improvement efforts of department policies and procedures.22. Provide network, systems, user and general support via a cell phone/pager on a 24x7 basis.
23. Identifies resources, modify schedules and reassigns tasks as necessary to meet goals and directs activities to assure maximum utilization of resources including personnel, hardware, materials, and supplies.
24. Attends appropriate training and cross functional meetings related to job responsibilities.25. Deploy standard processes, tools and methodologies needed to effectively manage projects.26. Understand staff technical competencies and help build employee skill sets based on business requirements.27.
