Systems Test Engineer

These products are used to inspect people, baggage, cargo and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs and other contraband.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Understands, evaluates and writes complex application test programs.
•Performs all phases of applications systems analyses and test.
•Formulates scope and objective of test systems through research and fact finding to develop or modify complex system test cases.
•Prepares detailed test protocols based on engineering, customer and regulatory requirements.
•Develops and performs formal software and hardware testing procedures, bug verification, release testing.
•Determines conditions under which test are to be conducted, sequences, and phases of test operations.
•Prepares formal test reports with our without assistance from associates.
•Assist in root cause determinations for Hardware/Software integration and system issues discovered during test and validation activities.
•Prepares technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
Provides guidance to and assists in training lower-level personnel.
•Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to address reliability and quality issues of hardware and software interfaces, as well as operational and performance requirements of overall systems.
REQUIREMENTS
*Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required.

•2 - 5 years hands-on experience in software/hardware test engineering and detection systems.
•Experience with formal software testing is a must.

•Excellent knowledge of Software test protocols, FMEA, Fault tree and other Failure analysis methods.
•Good oral communications and software documentation skills.
•Real-time software architecture and image processing basics and desirable.
•Experience in reliability evaluation of complex and portable machinery and effect on functionality of electronic components is highly desirable.
