Systems Software Engineer/Analyst

Position Overview:
This individual is responsible for the requirements analysis related to at least 2 of the following items: IMS enablers, WAP and IP, Browsers, Multimedia enablers, Multimedia applications, Connectivity (including BT, IrDA, Cable and Wifi).
Duties and Responsibilities:
The individual is expected to work productively in cross functional teams and as well as individually.This engineers responsibility is to analyze standardization activities ongoing in the following forums: 3gpp, GSMNA GSMA and OMA (as applicable).The resulting output would include a clear prioritization of technologies for the SEMC mobile terminals platforms.The individual must understand the goals of SEMC and its customers in these areas and will have to coordinate activities with Application Planners, EMP/technology suppliers and SEMC R&D to prioritize requirements.In performing the above activities it will enable the person to analyze customer requirements and ensure that the SEMC portfolio can meet customer demands.The engineer also provides expertise to the platform and project development engineers in R&D on the standards and customer expectations.Provides input assistance in customer and project compliance related work for RFPs in areas of expertise.Education and Experience:
Minimum 7 years experience in telecommunications.BS Required
GSM experience required; IT Multimedia Subsystem experience highly desired
