JOB SUMMARY:



The Systems Engineer will provide technical support in the development of middleware products and assist in the analysis, design, planning, implementation and specification of changes, enhancements, and additions to Health Net systems.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Technical support to development teams, to assist in the analysis, design, planning, implementation and specification of changes, enhancements, and additions to Health Net systems.

Troubleshooting, on-call and Problem Resolution support for operational issues relating to middleware products.

Continuous improvements to existing services through:

Risk management

Change control

Configuration management

Industry best practices

Future support for reference architecture design

REQUIREMENTS:



Education:

Bachelor's degree in IS/IT.



Certification/License:

N/A



Experience:

Minimum of six years experience in an IT organization in a support / systems administrator role. Experience installing, configuring and managing BEA Weblogic. Expertise in deploying, configuring and tuning Weblogic as a J2EE application server running on UNIX.

Experience installing, configuring and managing TIBCO products, including Hawk, Rendezvous, Integration Manager, BusinessWorks. Experience installing, configuring and managing CA Siteminder. Strong UNIX experience - including scripting experience. Experience in a high availability environment, preferably working to SLAs.



Preferred Experience will include: Experience implementing EAI tools and processes. Some programming background - application development experience with J2EE Directory Services knowledge and experience using Active Directory / LDAP.
Healthcare industry experience.

QA / Testing experience.







Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to utilize scripting languages such as Perl. Ability to provide customer service to client groups. Knowledge of Weblogic. Knowledge of TIBCO products. Knowledge of CA Siteminder. Knowledge and ability to script with Unix. Strong time management, organizational and prioritizing skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a cohesive team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task.
