Responsibilities:
•Systems Engineer participating on team efforts in the design and delivery of spaceborne payloads
•Activities include a variety of tasks that may include: technical leadership, formulation of concepts, systems requirements analysis, architecture and systems design, performance analysis and simulation, trade-off analysis, system architecture definition, requirements definition and allocation, performance analysis and simulation, system model and simulation tool development, system design, trade studies, technical writing, and systems engineering support to hardware design, fabrication, subcontractor/supplier technical oversight, and system integration and test.
•Must be capable of providing technical leadership in one or more of the following areas: spaceborne payload systems engineering design, communication systems, antenna systems design, radar systems, RF systems design, digital signal processing, modulation theory, signal detection and estimation, and flight software.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
•BS or equivalent degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related engineering discipline, MS or higher preferred
Experience:
•Must have experience on spaceborne systems
•A minimum of 7 years of overall systems engineering experience including at least 5 years of experience in development of space-based communication or sensor systems, or their operation and control
•Qualified candidates should have experience with requirements analysis, decomposition & management using the DOORS tool
•Development/analysis of system architectures and designs
•CONOPS development
•Specification development to include requirements specifications, performance specifications & interface control documents (ICDs)
•Additional depth in one or more systems engineering sub-disciplines such as spaceborne payload systems engineering design, communication systems, antenna systems design, radar systems, RF systems design, digital signal processing, modulation theory, signal detection and estimation, flight software is preferred
•Technical leadership experience required including superior oral and written communication skills
•Must possess proven ability to work closely with customers and in teams that include government and contractor representatives
