Systems Engineer (Alignment)

Lead ATP alignment program activities and coordinate with all stakeholders. Responsible for alignment implementation planning and verification of alignment requirements for space vehicle design and development activities. Position also includes budget and schedule responsibilities. Support of 2nd shift, weekend, and EWW schedules may be required. The grade level for this position will range from 10 to 12, depending on qualifications and experience.

Experience in alignments/LOS required. Must have knowledge of theodolites, videogrammetry, and laser tracker technology, including a firm understanding of Microsoft EXCEL and the fundamentals of three-dimensional alignment analytics. The successful candidate for the Space Vehicle System Engineering alignment position must demonstrate technical breadth in the mechanical design of space vehicles at the system, subsystem, and component levels, plus have a background in a majority of the following fields: alignment measurement techniques, mechanisms, opto-mechanical concepts, systems engineering, vector analytics, and integration and test. Must have excellent written and oral communication proficiencies, in addition to outstanding interpersonal skills. Must be a strong champion of process improvement and enforcement.Six Sigma certification and knowledge of CAPE is a plus. DoD/SSBI clearances required. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of mechanical engineering background required. MS degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
